The culmination of the Unity Week 2021 was a tripartite event that sought to celebrate: Milad un Nabi; Teachers’ Day; and Unity.
Three key note speakers graced the occasion – Mr. Benson Nguti, Ms. Jyoti Chaniyara, and Maulana Zeeshan Haider. As a way of embracing our diversity, the guest speakers addressed the staff on the unique place of teachers as entrenched in Christianity, Hindu and Islam respectively.
The event was colourful and enlightening, hence showing there is greatness in unity. At the end, a rallying call was inspired by the old African and Zulu philosophy of Ubuntu: I AM BECAUSE WE ARE!
